MADONNA UNIVERSITY

 

Introduction

 

The campus of this university was first established in 1937.

 

Founded in 1937,Madonna University is a comprehensive university with an enrollment of approximately 4,500 students; Located in a beautiful suburb of metropolitan Detroit, the University is recognized for its high quality academic programs, which prepare students for success in their chosen career fields.

 

 The University offers more than 100 undergraduate majors toward associate degrees and bachelor`s degrees as well as 35 master`s programs in clinical psychology, business, criminal justice, education, history and health professions. In May 2009, Madonna began offering its first doctorate, the Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Partnership between TOBA Center and Madonna University

 

I. Madonna University and TOBA

In 1999, TOBA Center established a partnership with Madonna University, TOBA will be responsible in selection of talented applicants in that they are going to successfully prepare language training, the prerequisite courses as general education, and other needed before their departure. If the students still lack English language skills, TOBA recommends that the students also take a English-as-a-second-language (ESL) program offered by Madonna University.

 

Before TOBA and MU are in business partnership, there were no Korean studying abroad in Madonna University. However, resulting from establishing the partnership between TOBA and MU, more than 60 of TOBA students who are from Korea used to study in the campus of Madonna University at some year.

 

For the students who Building on the knowledge gained from MU, TOBA students can easily find employment in the Nursing fields. If students come back to South Korea for work, they can also get a good employment at Global Centers of Korean University Hospitals.

TOBA Broadcasted Madonna University's International Business Program to Stevenson, Franklin, and Churchill High School in Michigan through Live Interactive Satellite Education Broadcast Systems

A professor at Madonna University conducted the live interactive satellite international business education program at Madonna campus, Michigan, and transmitted to TOBA satellite station in Korea. MU in MI and three of high schools in Michigan fully participated in TOBA’s international education programs. In this program,an expert whom TOBA recommended lecturers. The experts were business expert professors and government PR officers from Korea. This program had broadcasted in MU for five years, at the designated date and time MU appoint. Sister Mary Francilene, President of Madonna, offered an international degree program which TOBA students could earn their degrees through the interactive live broadcast system of TOBA.

 

This special off-campus program made it possible that TOBA students earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and tourism Management by the online without going toMadonna University campus in Livonia, Michigan.

III. Madonna University and Dankook University

The President of the Madonna University revisited the presidential office of Dankook University. and Madonna University made an agreement for collaborative program for Master of Science in Hospice. Dankook University is one of the most competitive universities in South Korea. It’s a big school in Korea with around 26,000 students.

V. Collaboration with between Madonna University and Gyeong-Gi Commercial High School(Public School)

 

Since 1923, Gyeong-Gi Commercial High School(GGHS) is a public school and studying 451students in Seoul.

GGHS is one of the very competitive high school in Seoul.

After the meeting, the president of  Madonna University agreed to grant this high school
